Something New...

This morning when I woke up, I began to think about what old stamps and product I don't use and haven't used in years. In the first picture, there are all the stamp sets, punches, and magazines I am going to get rid of. There is a pile you cannot see that will be going to my classroom. The next four images are cards I made when I should have been cleaning my craft room. My daughter loved the rooster card the most. She loves anything chickens. I know the images are not the best quality, but until I get my room clean this is what I have. I picked clean surface with okay light, but it is still dark and drab here. We have had rain days which means no school for me, so I am taking advantage of having no work and a long weekend. I do dread making sympathy cards, especially when the occasion arises. So, I tend to make some in advance. Otherwise I blubber too much.

Rewarding Myself

I made a list of all the things I want to accomplish during my time off. I am rewarding myself with stamping and sewing each time I accomplish a task and sometimes just because I got distracted. I ordered some new products from Altenew and Scrapbook . I also signed up for three classes through Altenew Academy and I have finished one of the three classes. Autumn is my favorite season. I love the colors, cool crisp air, and being able to wear scarves. Today, is one of those days. It is a beautiful day, cool for the area we live in. I have been taking advantage of the cooler weather. I have sat outside two different times and opened my windows, enjoying the cool air and listening to the birds. New season of creating...

As I sit here in my craft room listening to the rain and thunder. I realize I have been in a crafting rut for over a year. No stamping, no sewing, really just no creating. Today, I am cleaning my room, purging things I don't use, and signing up for some crafting classes. Hoping this will help me find my inner creativeness again. My husband has told me if I do not use my craft room he is going to take it away and turn it into a man cave. I cannot let that happen. Here's to a new season.
